First Scribble of 2010

I am opening a book. Its pages are blank.
I am going to put words on them myself.
The book is called Opportunity,
and its first chapter is New Year's Day.

No, life has not disappointed me.
On the contrary, I find it truer, more desirable and mysterious every year.
The idea that life is God-given grace, not a duty, not a calamity, not trickery.

This bright new year is given me,
To live each day with zest
To daily grow and try to be
my highest and best!

Have a Magnificent Year, dearies!
