{What to Wear on V day}

Forget trying to decide on a present, we know the real headache you're having is what to wear this Valentine's Day. Here, we've got outfit ideas that'll suit your mood and flatter your body type.

SHOWING OFF YOUR STEMS
Want to show off your sexy legs? Go for a mini dress. Luckily mini dresses and skirts are quite in style this season and really, there's no better way to show off those lovely legs. To balance out the look, make sure your top isn't too low-cut. If you've opted for a mini dress, also make sure it isn't too tight so you can avoid looking overly risqué.

HIDING THE THIGHS
If the last thing you want to do is draw attention to your legs and thighs, you can always opt for a pair of dark denim or black trousers. Wide leg trousers will make your legs appear longer and slimmer. To really elongate your legs, wear those trousers with heels and make sure your pants hems are just above the floor. If you do want to try a dress or skirt, look for one that hits right above the knee. You can also slim the legs with some black tights.

BOLD COLORS
It's daring, it's bold. Red is this spring's power color, and an obvious choice for Valentine's Day. How to wear it? The key is finding the right shade of red for your skin tone. If you have lighter skin, you can pull of a bright, bold red. Darker skin tones can try deep red shades and also orangey-reds. If you're hesitant for either, look for lighter, pastel shades of red. Pair with nude (not black) accessories to soften the overall look. And since it's V-day, after all, go ahead and rock a bright red lip or nails to match.

{Bold Color Combos!}

Spring's 2012 color theory is this: go bold and bright — and make your selections a little unexpected. Spring collections from Yigal Azrouel, Christian Siriano, Peter Som, and so many more are awash in high-wattage hues that get amped up when they're layered up and colorblocked by the twos, threes, even fours. Alongside neon, citrus colors, designers, like Azrouel, are adding cool cobalt, or peachy pinks, like Siriano, making the color pop affect another major trend we're craving on our clothes for Spring.

This spring and summer, get yourself wrapped in heavenly fabrics, adorned with fabulous vivid color!

Ring, Ring. Yellow?

New year, new wardrobe. If you're thinking of making new additions to your closet. Why not take a bold step and make this choice of bright color: Yellow!

This new year, it doesn't get any spicier than mustard yellow. This saucy shade is oh-so-fresh and pairs beautifully with black, grey and bold accessories. Choose a contrasting color to make your fashion statement!

You just have to love the way it looks paired with darker colors like black and silver as a splash of vibrant color to brighten things up on a cold and dreary day.

{Fashion Trend A/W 2010}

We all want to look fashionable but this is impossible without knowing modern tendencies in the fashion world. Some of the Spring/ Summer 2010 trends will be out and some will still be hot. And a few absolutely new trends will shatter the glamorous world soon.

So, the Fall/ Winter 2010/ 2011 trends are the following:

Sexy turtlenecks. Although the turtleneck seems to be one of the clothing items that simply cannot be sexy we say that sexy turtleneck is a hot trend for Autumn/ Winter 2010/ 2011 season. Everything depends on how you wear it. Try to mix colors and add some funky accessories to your look and the turtleneck will change from the very dull to a stylish piece.

High collars. These aren’t only fashionable, they are very practical as well. In addition to making you look modern high collar will keep you warm from cold winter winds.

Thigh-high boots. These boots have become a favorite with many women. They look sexy and feel comfortable. To add to this, they provide a great coverage to the leg that is essential for winter time. So, it’s still a trend and you have one more season to rock your best pair!

{The Next Vest Thing}

Denim is going to be everywhere spring / summer 2010. The denim vest trend just keeps showing itself off whenever the warmer months peeks around the corner. But that's because it looks so darn cute yet cool and casual with your summer dress, black pants or just a plain tee or tank top!

On the spotlight, there's this 80s-looking vest that basically resembles a denim jacket with the arms cut off. Its shape is boxier and bit looser. It's a great casual piece for the summer. Try them with a looser fit flowery top or short dress. Style this look with middle part for hair and a flowy, natural hairstyle. Think Alanis Morisette a la Jagged Little Pill.

The '80s staple make a stylish comeback on Ashley Tisdale, Kate Bosworth and Sienna Miller.

{Boyfriend's jacket}

...is a spring must-have

Maje's light gray tweed boyfriend blazer is an oversized coverup that will add edge to all of your basics. Combine this masculine shape with these cool pieces below for a modern take on tailoring:

Invest in some cropped denim for the new season with Current/Elliott's dark blue skinny jeans with ankle zips. Balance your silhouette by teaming this lightweight spray-on style with a louche shirt.

Make wardrobe worries a thing of the past with sweet basics like Sonia by Sonia Rykiel's oversized white bow-embellished cotton T-shirt. Contrast the blush silk trim with distressed denim for new-season style.

Stay well heeled in Pedro Garcia's black satin pumps. Heel height measures approximately 110mm / 4.5 inches.

Last but not least, Juicy Couture's lipstick red patent-leather clutch with pewter-tone studs is perfect for adding a splash of color to a muted palette. Carry it to brighten your look and to make your nautical outfit pop!

Voila, you're ready to rock girl!

{Accesorize Up!}

What's the latest and most exclusive handbag?
What's the must-have accessory of the season?
It's probably as precious as a proper pair of Jimmy Choo stilettos:

Yippie, it's a puppy.
Dogs are no longer relegated to cramped quarters in the backyard or cats shooed away at dinner. They are the It-bag instead.

The idea of pets as accessories has been promoted profusely in movies and television shows in recent years, beginning with the character Elle Woods' Chihuahua, Bruiser, in the film Legally Blonde. Audiences were charmed -if not a bit repulsed, in an endearing sort of way, by the tiny dog's pink patent leather rain coats, matching hats and Tiffany necklace.

So next time you're stepping out of the house to hang-out, don't forget to bring your little friend. After all, it's the most chic accessories these days!

{Workwear Fashion}

When it comes to workplace attire, it doesn't always have to be "DRESS-CODE OVERRULES FASHION". There are days when only a sharp shoulder will do, days when you can't bear wear black. Have you ever had those days?

When I worked as a bank-employee a while ago, I realized there's a fine line between "office appropriate" and "boring". You may want to project an air of gravitas, but it's also important to show your personality. I've learned to pick pieces that are what I call "ready-styled" and have one design element that makes them interesting:

A tailored jumpsuit?
A great pair of high heels?
A high-waist?
An unexpected patterned or bright, well-cut piece?
The latest nail-polish colors?

Well, whatever it is, add a piece of your personal style to a restrictive or dictated work palette. It peps it up and gives a nod to who I really am.

{Balmainia!}

Balmainia! Christophe Decarnin's a/w collection for Balmain was one of the best of the season. And it translates perfectly to the high street.

KeY piEceS:
A big-shouldered jacket with a three-quarter skinny sleeve, a drapey T-shirt, stone-washed super-skinny jeans and some studded ankle boots.

AcCeSoRiEs:
Layered low-slung skinny studded belt, big boots with stacks of buckles, little tough leather bags with lots of studs and sparkle and go for plenty of ruching.

StyLe:
Think hard versus soft. Team a soft, slouchy T-shirt with a masculine tuxedo jacket. And wear it all with a bit of attitude.

When times are tough, you need clothes that make you feel good about yourself. Balmain makes clothes for super-sexy, confident women. It's rock-chic bling with layers of attitude.

{Easy Luxe}

As seen at Chloe, MaxMara and Stella McCartney, go for Easy Luxe. It's a breezy and relaxed everyday-look style!

KeY piEceS:
Definitely a coat or an oversized jacket. Camel is a huge trend, but you could opt for taupe, grey or navy. All of these colors will look fresher than black.

AcCeSoRiEs:
Start with a great handbag -anything equestrian detailing is good, or with a shoulder strap you can sling over your body. Also go for boots in a neutral color.

StyLe:
The key is not to look too "done". It's all about looking unstyled and expensive, but in a cool way -Chloe Sevigny meets Hermes is a good starting point.

Best fashion advice for 2010:
"Mix it up and don't look like you're trying too hard!"

{Beach Beauties}

Another whirlwind week comes and goes as usual, but the good news is long weekend's here! For all the poor souls who've been huddling indoors for the past few months, this holiday promise one thing: finally being able to enjoy the outdoors! (I've been dreaming myself swimming fascinating sea caves, where the water hovered between an amazing shade of green and blue. )

Go Graphic
This season's geometri madness isn't a fashion flashback. Far from the kitschy, loud graphics, and multi-color block designs of fashion's past. Summer's take on geometry is arty, sleek and playful. What a fashion statement!
Moon Walker
Last season it was all about gold. But this season's new wave of metallic is cool and luxurious. It's all about the cold appeal of sci-fi silvery fabrics, or the heartless neon pink and green with metallic finishes - very disco 80's. Weave your silvery-spell!
To The Max
Sporty, tough and dangerously androgynous is the woman projected by these outfits. Boyish cut for explosive movement and freedom are key. Be comfortable in your skin, you're perfectly beautiful!
Have a great weekend all. Rock your holiday!

{Why You Love Her}

I guess this is the result of watching too much E! channel: you get addicted to celebrities, their fabulous (unaffordable) fashion and glamorous style. Daily exposure -or is it overdosed consumption?, of the flashy images of your favorite actress leads to this post.

Be amazed by these lovely leading ladies of style :)
Nicole Richie, The Olsen Twins, Keira Knightley
and the latest crush of mine: Camilla Belle.
