Beautification

Cleansing.
A facial begins with a cleansing with cotton pads or sponges and a product chosen for your skin type (normal, dry, oily, combination, sensitive, mature.)

Skin Analysis.
The esthetician covers your eyes and looks at your skin through a brightly lit magnifying lamp that reveal various skin conditions.

Exfoliation.
Using a mechanical exfoliation, it has a gritty texture and usually happens while a steam vapor is directed at your face.

Extraction of blackheads or whiteheads.

Facial massage.
Using classic strokes like effleurage to both relax you and stimulate your skin and facial muscles.

Facial mask targeted to your skin type and condition.

Application of toners and protective creams.

Aaarrggh!
Can we girls just have an instant magical beauty potion instead?

Fe dear,
I hope you are well. I'm sorry you feel the way you feel. But don't worry, it is perfectly normal for us to want to escape from this world. Sometimes, I ride my bike for miles and miles just to get away from everything. Please cry, and let it out. I promise, you'll feel better soon.
All my love.

Hello lovely Fé,

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend... first off, thank you for the kind comment—you are always so sweet. Secondly, I wish! I wish there was an easier way to healthy skin and a great glow... which reminds me, I need to go for another facial!

:)

Life would be so much easier if we weren't pressured into being a certain way, but as long as it makes us confidence I'm not complaining. :3 x

Geez, what a misfortune for me. I get that too sometimes, my Blogger Dashboard crashes, maybe it's due to high volume, I don't know. But glad it's back, it would be such a dear loss for me not to have you around, Lena. And thanks for letting me know.

Very true indeed what you say about inner beauty, dear Jasmine. Totally agree with you.

Good luck with the search, Chantal honey!

Lol, C & Mimi. Will certainly keep you posted darling...

Now that's what I'm saying, Ashley. This pursuit of beauty and perfect skin can sometimes be frustrating! Aaarrgh...

Geez, I've got a Portuguese-speaking guy reading my blog. How fantastic... Thanks for popping by and leave a comment, David. It's so lovely to have your around :)

I, too wish it could be that simple, Sana. But it is what it is, how the world revolves. As long as it pays off, I think I'm paying the price :p That's the most sensible thing to do, don't you think :)

Seriously, Moi? I bet you're one of those lucky girls with shinning-glowing healthy skin effortlessly. How fortunate of you!

Geez, many thanks for the award, Anastasia dear. How lovely of you. I'd really love to be a part of it, would drop by your site soon!

That's fine, Inez honey. I get that too sometimes, the writer block. You just feel so blank you don't know what to post. But really do hope you'll be back pretty soon. I'm gonna miss you :)
