SATC

I know, I know, everyone's getting a little sick of Sex & the City coverage, but I want to mention this new book about the movie... This book is a must-have companion to the movie millions have been waiting for. This sleek hardcover volume gives reader exclusive entrée into the world of Sex and the City: The Movie.

In addition to a storybook-style telling of the film, the book includes mouth-watering bonus features not available anywhere else: behind-the-scenes stories from Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, star and producer Sarah Jessica Parker, writer and director Michael Patrick King, as well as producers and other key cast and crew members; a guide to the movie's multi-million—dollar fashion closet, including insight from costume designer Patricia Field; and an insider's tour of the movie's many locations, some of which have never before appeared on film.

All of this behind-the-scenes information is accompanied by more than three hundred stunning, luscious, full-color images. This beautiful keepsake is sure to bring some big-screen glitz and glamor to every reader's bookshelf.

I wouldn't buy it, but my, um, bookshelves might.

Stoned

There I found myself all alone.
You left me with nothing,
but a heart of stone.

I had been waiting for no one but you.
I waited, until the stars fall down on me.
Day by day I hoped of your sight.
I prayed for you each and every night.

Feelings of emptiness gave me hope.
Tears gave a reason for me to cope.
I lift my hands to the skies, racing the winds to dry my eyes.
Still I feel my soul yearning of its kindred.
I feel my hearts desire for this wait to end.

Years had passed,
and I happen to fly away.
I conquered loneliness.
I will live another day.

Through this journey that you inspired,
I therefore concluded:
How a heart gets tired.

I prefer...

Have you ever been to a place,
but wished you were some place else?
Have you ever done something
but wished you were doing something else?
Have you ever been with someone
but secretly wished you could be with someone else?

How well do you know yourself, really?

This sweet piece I found at Miscellany of Moi could be a great start,
for a conversation with yourself...

I prefer a nice quiet hot bath at home,
it's better than being hurled around crowd places full of seedy people.

I prefer to read a novel with a genre which appeals to me,
it’s better than watching some reality TV programme where A - Z list casts are acting.

I prefer to work within a busy environment where cash is flowing,
it’s better than a fixed schedule around the same staff where progression is non-existent.

I prefer to snuggle on a sofa with my closest friends,
it's better than showing up at a hot event surrounded by A-list socialites of the town.

I prefer to attach myself with sincere, straightforward people,
it's better than filtered-truth hidden from you by so-called-friends.

I prefer to wear what I like and not be succumbed by the designer labels,
it’s better to be individual and where the unlikely event of wearing the same outfit as your mates will occur.

I prefer to be me,
it’s better.

LV Bunny Ears Explained!

Ever since the first bunny-eared model stepped onto the Louis Vuitton Fall catwalk, and after Madonna donned them at the MET Gala people have been wondering, why the bunny ears? Well, Marc Jacobs has finally explained himself.

In the making of the 2009 Fall/Winter ad campaign video, he said: "There's a girl who works for us, Lucy, she's on the design team, and Adrian, one of the boys, was tying a little bit of fabric around and it reminded me of bunny. We were thinking of all these different things like can-can dancers, and I saw this piece of fabric wrapped around her head and said, 'Bunny ears, that's what we need to finish this look.' So we made all these radzimir bunny ears and that's how it happened. I like the kind of Playboy, French coquette aspect to it."

The bunny ears have been explained . . . we can all breathe now.

Happily Never After

Song Title Happily Never After
Singer Pussycat Dolls
Songwriters Shaffer Smith, Robert Shea Taylor
Album Doll Domination

"I dont think I want this anymore"
As she drops the ring to the floor.
She says to herself,
"You've left before. This time you will stay gone, that's for sure"

And he shattered something as she dragged her suitcase down the path, to the driveway.
She had never gone that far.
Normally, this would be the time that she would let him talk her out of leaving.
But this time, without crying.
As she got into her car, she said

"No. Happily never after, that just aint for me.
Because finally I know, I deserve better, after all.
I'll never let another teardrop fall."

As she drove away she starts to smile.
Realized she hadn't for a while.
No destination, she drove for miles.
Wondering why she stayed in such denial.

Laughing about the way he shattered something as she dragged her suitcase down the path, to the driveway.

I'm done , I'm done. Said I'm so done.
So done, I'm done, I'm done.
I'm free, I'm free, I'm free. Free to be me.

She inhales an air she'd never breathed before.
The air of no drama, no more.

{Workwear Fashion}

When it comes to workplace attire, it doesn't always have to be "DRESS-CODE OVERRULES FASHION". There are days when only a sharp shoulder will do, days when you can't bear wear black. Have you ever had those days?

When I worked as a bank-employee a while ago, I realized there's a fine line between "office appropriate" and "boring". You may want to project an air of gravitas, but it's also important to show your personality. I've learned to pick pieces that are what I call "ready-styled" and have one design element that makes them interesting:

A tailored jumpsuit?
A great pair of high heels?
A high-waist?
An unexpected patterned or bright, well-cut piece?
The latest nail-polish colors?

Well, whatever it is, add a piece of your personal style to a restrictive or dictated work palette. It peps it up and gives a nod to who I really am.

*Before Sunrise & Before Sunset

A young man and woman meet on a train in Europe, and wind up spending one romantic evening together in Vienna. Unfortunately, both know that this will probably be their only night together.

It's nine years after Jesse and Celine first met.
Now, they encounter one another
What if you had a second chance with the one that got away?

BEFORE SUNRISE is about two strangers spending a night in Vienna.
The affinity between them is almost magical but yet very convincing.
The movie doesn’t boast of a lot of action or whatsoever,
just packed with intriguing and interesting conversations.

This sequel, BEFORE SUNSET is shot 9 years after the first movie. 1995 & 2004.
In the movie, it was exactly 9 years apart as well.

9 years span of ravishingly beautiful and extremely deep love story.

Both are not big movies, or ones with big ideas,
but they are as uneven as any marathon conversation might be,
combining colorful, disarming insights with periodic lulls.

Cupcake Couture

Look what I've found!
A perfect combination of two things I love:
cakes
and couture!
Don't you just love them?

These couture cupcakes were shot by Swedish photographer Therese Aldgård and styled by Swedish prop chick Lisa Edsälv. The duo created 5 delicious cupcakes, inspired by Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin, Agent Provocateur and Betsey Johnson. They all look good enough to eat, or too good to be eaten? Can't take off my eyes of the icing on the (cup)cake.
