Cradle Me

I can't get any sleepier than this.
I hope I can sleep in a heavenly place.

I want to take a power nap and in that time have a million dreams,
some of them dreams of dreams.

Will You Marry Me?

Song Title Marry You
Singer Bruno Mars
Songwriter Bruno Mars, Ari Levine, Phillip Lawrence
Album Doo-Wops & Hooligans

It’s a beautiful night, we’re looking for something dumb to do.
Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you.
Is it the look in your eyes, or is it this dancing juice?
Who cares baby, I think I wanna marry you.

Well I know this little chapel on the boulevard we can go,
no one will know, come on girl.
Who cares if we’re trashed got a pocket full of cash we can blow,
shots of patron, and it’s on girl.

Don’t say no, no, no, no-no.
Just say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah.
And we’ll go, go, go, go-go.
If you’re ready, like I’m ready.

So whatcha wanna do? Let’s just run girl.
If we wake up and you wanna break up that’s cool.
No, I won’t blame you. It was fun girl.

Just say I do,
Tell me right now baby!

Kate Bosworth & 3.1 Philip Lim

Kate Bosworth and Philip Lim are like match made in heaven. She has the careless elegance and natural beauty and he brings the youthful sophistication. As the brand expands, Kate would be a great face for the label's advertising.

The ruffles on this dress could have easily looked vulgar if it wasn't for the simple shape and chic color palette. And Kate acessorizes like a pro. Simple and Beautiful.

You know, you hear about celebrities being environmental activists, but to see it seals the deal.
We love Kate Bosworth; she's so cute and her style is ever evolving. We were super excited when we found out she was going to co-host this year's Gorgeous and Green benefit in San Francisco.

Family:

The thing about a good marriage is,
even if a terrible mistake happens,
you just can't imagine your life with anyone else.

That's why you commit to each other.
That's why you make vows to each other;
that through the good or the bad, you'll just keep trying.

You're fighting not only for love...
You're fighting for something bigger than either one of you,
You're fighting for the family you've become.
You're fighting for the us you've become.
And that's really worth fighting for.

"I have done it. I have everything I want. I have made enough money to secure my family and that is all I care about."

Anya Hindmarch Wine Tote

I love almost all Anya Hindmarch totes and this Wine Tote is no exception. Depicting three wine illustrations in simple white on brown, this wine tote isn't just about showing off your love of wine but also about actually toting it.

The interior is divided into 6 segmented compartments so you can carry a half-dozen bottles at once without risking breakage (or just the annoying clinking and clanking). It has a reinforced bottom and handles, goldtone hardware, and a the little signature embroidered bow detail top and center. Great gift for an eco-friendly wine lover who can use it as a shopping bag. $190

Miu Miu, Resort 2011

Fun, sensual, insolent.

Miuccia Prada's prescription for Miu Miu's Resort collection nailed its naughty little heart. The clothes were inspired by lingerie shapes and lingerie fabrics like crepe de chine, satin, and sable, but there was another story, too.

Prada's undying reverence for Yves Saint Laurent is a strong strand of her design DNA, and there were echoes of YSL's notorious 1971 collection, the one that was scandalously inspired by the shady ladies of Paris in the early 1940's. That old-time raciness was reflected in the
"come hither" neon brightness of Miu Miu's color palette, carried over into armfuls of bracelets, and prints of apples and hearts whose cuteness was cut by the fact that they were slightly blurred, like a neon sign.

The languid line of a keyhole-neckline crepe dress or the masculine/feminine flared, cuffed cotton drill pants paired with a fitted military jacket could have been out of Dietrich's closet (her again!), except that the designer preferred the more playful, less ambiguous comedienne Carole Lombard as a reference.

"Keep things simplest" is Miuccia's new mantra. Word to the lookbook: one of the most seductive re-creations yet of the glamorous harpies who ruled the pages of Vogue Paris in the heady seventies. As far as the historical references go, Miuccia's convinced nobody remembers anything anyway, which means that Miu Miu fans will find irresistibly colored clothes in proportions that look sexy and new to them.

Ring, Ring. Yellow?

New year, new wardrobe. If you're thinking of making new additions to your closet. Why not take a bold step and make this choice of bright color: Yellow!

This new year, it doesn't get any spicier than mustard yellow. This saucy shade is oh-so-fresh and pairs beautifully with black, grey and bold accessories. Choose a contrasting color to make your fashion statement!

You just have to love the way it looks paired with darker colors like black and silver as a splash of vibrant color to brighten things up on a cold and dreary day.

Good Old Days

During these times we're apart,
close your eyes and try to feel the way we did that day.
Then you could remember our song...

Keep smilin', keep shinin',
Knowin' you can always count on me, for sure.
That's what friends are for.
For good times and bad times,
I'll be on your side forever more.
That's what friends are for.

As far as I'm concerned,
I'm glad I got the chance to have this beautiful friendship.

Ferragamo, the Shoemaker

Shoemaker to Fashion Empire.
The Story.

Known as the "shoemaker to the stars," Salvatore Ferragamo is renowned first and foremost for its footwear. In the early 1920's, Ferragamo, a Naples native who apprenticed with a shoemaker as a teenager, set up the Hollywood Boot Shop after moving to California. Soon he was crafting boots and shoes for movie stars' on-screen looks. Enamored of his designs, actors from Douglas Fairbanks to Mary Pickford enlisted him to custom-fit their feet off-screen as well.

After moving his company back to Florence in the late twenties, Ferragamo achieved worldwide success in the next few decades as he pioneered such innovative designs as the "invisible" sandal, wedge heels, and the all-important steel-reinforced stiletto, popularized by Marilyn Monroe in Some Like It Hot.

In 1959, a year before his death, Ferragamo's daughter Giovanna introduced the label's first clothing collection. Accessories soon followed. Today, the ready-to-wear collection, shown in Milan, focuses on Italian sportswear.

From 2003 to 2007, Graeme Black, a Giorgio Armani alumnus, oversaw the label, offering mostly ladylike looks in a neutral palette. In 2007, Cristina Ortiz, formerly of Brioni and Lanvin, assumed the post of creative director. While her first collection met with mixed reviews for its flashy vibe, which was out of sync with the house's traditional aesthetic, hopes are high that she will forge a distinct image for Ferragamo rather than let the clothes be a backdrop for the accessories.

While shoes and that famous fit remain the focus of the house (certain sizes come in six different widths), Ferragamo today also includes eyewear, watches, and fragrances. In early 2008, the house celebrated its 80th anniversary with a blowout party in Shanghai.
